After weeks of canceled games and rescheduled match-ups, Charlotte finally get their game against Western Kentucky

(Charlotte Observer)

The 49ers take on Western Kentucky this Tuesday, December 1st at 10:30 am in a rescheduled matchup that was intended for Saturday, Nov. 28.

Charlotte goes into the game 3-4 (2-1) after canceling all games during the month of November. Western Kentucky comes to Charlotte with a 4-6 record (3-3 conf). Last season, Charlotte lost to the Hilltoppers away.

The players to look out for WKU is RB Gaej Walker. With 116 carries and 516 yards, the WKU offensive star will definitely be their key player in their offense. QB Tyrrell Pigrome has a 56% completion rating with only 2 TDs and 0 interceptions. This offense looks like a stronger running offense and the 49ers will need to battle hard in the trenches to stop their offense.

Expect a busy game from the 49er RBs and targets downfield for Reynolds. The Charlotte receiving core has been strong and our run game has been solid, but the biggest question facing our offense will be our pocket protection. the offensive line will need to step up their performance from the previous games and with the time they have had to rest and practice on their game, this should be a test for the o-line.

Charlotte is hungry for a win, but more importantly to just play a game. The 49ers have a good 2-1 record in the conference and can improve to 4-1 if they win out conference play this week against the Hilltoppers and the Satuday game (rescheduled) against 0-5 FIU.

ESPN has Charlotte coming out on top with a 60% chance of winning this one with a +1.5, -1.5 spread. This could be a rusty game however after the long break from the last game being Halloween night against Duke.

The game will be aired on CBSSN at 10:30 a.m for a Charlotte home game.
